Jean Pierre Hue offers us works devoted to the city of tomorrow, giant cities where man measures his loneliness in the crowd.
He travels around the urban planet, only read his own clarification of his works to understand that this is not just a shortcut but a precious poetic concern for him.
The works thus produced, both built and baroque draw into an abstract grammar and could relate, if they were to qualify, a neo-futuristic.

Since 2002, Jean-Pierre Hue rose from the canvas to classical and smooth transparent support (glass, PMMA, vinyl …). He uses the ancient technique of painting on glass (called fixed on glass) or very contemporary paintings upside down on PMMA that meet one another as to the need for transparency, depth and variety of reading .
In some paintings, he now plays the classical two-dimensional wall representation moving to a very original three-dimensional work placed on the ground.

“The painter is a visionary. His concern, the city of tomorrow, is declined in a series of works where he shows us huge and excessive technological cities , aggregates disordered skyscrapers, labyrinthine tangle of lanes, crossroads of desires, becomings of man. A man who seems missing from this virtual world but whose real presence in movement is part of the show with words, onomatopoeia, as in the manga. The thus produced works, both built and Baroque, are drawing into an abstract grammar and could relate, if they were to qualify, a neo-futurist stream. “
Catherine Plassart, Art Point France, January 2009
“Architectures of stones. What about the “geo-aesthetics”? This was the neologism coined long ago by Claude Roy to delineate cultural spheres with pictorial material. The concept comes back to mind observing the recent work of Hue, which seems a little chat with a family member to know the Breton Yves Tanguy. The space of these “lacquers under plexiglass” is in front page and surrealistic. The reports of tones are direct and simple and the “lexical” system without defect. One enters into a magical space in which the artist expresses games with the dream and the natural rhythms. The spirit is the one of morning ocean. These signs are full of marine hallucinating. ”

Jean Pierre Hue ? A painter of modernity beyond all the “futurismes” and all “expressionnismes” who renewed the art in the twentieth century, and was inspired by it, whether he likes or not, whether he knows it or not, for us, French, Jean-Pierre Hue makes us first think to Rimbaud, when we throws at our face everyday landscapes with a sense of hallucinated graphics and color? Is there not indeed, between them, the same intense presence in the world? The same desire to return with force or violence, the present world, its structures and machines ?
………
At his turn, almost a century and a half later, it is in the order of painting by Jean-Pierre Hue takes as design, for bright background and creative force the nowaday modernity , placing its epicenter, the city, this sprawling acropolis of the future, the daughter of consciousness and progress, which symbolizes the piles and exaggerating the forms most colossal and chaotic utopia and modern barbarity.
………
Basically, in this painting which is only superficially compliance with appearances, interrogation outweighs on performance. Because it is from an age that fears not to find in its successes its reasons to exist. Who seems to aspire to an unknown religion, and continues a search for values and meaning that science, technology, ingenuity of man constantly restart without ever exhausting.
………..
Works, somewhat abstract, always spectacular and sometimes disturbing of this visionary painter did they not lead us, to glimpse, amid figurative references, crawl space under the (too) full fragility and helplessness of man in aggression and violence even his achievements, his inexhaustible question in a material and technical fullness which seems to exclude it ?
